What has always been popular in the course of the History of Theatre in the events of mankind . In the Dominican Republic this trend gaining momentum in the decades of 70 and 80, which together with a great cultural movement awake at that time, a youthful effervescence eager to gain social and political demands.
Guloya Theatre The drama group is a stable group of representatives from the most faithful exponents of popular theater in the country, since the beginning of its founders, Claudio González Rivera and Vienna, in the eighties in the INTEC Projections Theatre has been a consistent pattern of his career.
Guloya Theatre in participating in the National Theatre Festival (2010) joins the popular, the circus and the madness in sight, with a strong socio-political intent, to bridge the gap between dementia and reality today.
The piece takes inspiration from the characters and plots of the play "My 500 Locos" the psychiatrist Antonio Zagul, who like Claudio Rivera, uses the theme of madness to launch harsh criticism of the regime turn.
